This reticulated python has been tied to a fence by its “neck”.
Associate professor Bryan Fry from the University of Queensland identified the species to news.com.au as a “reticulated python” describing it as “non-venomous” and can reach a length of around 28ft. He said he was “saddened by the animal abuse”.
Reticulated pythons are one of the largest snakes found in India and among the largest in the world.
This python may have recently eaten a goat or cow.
